Description
Posted Breed: Cattle Dog / Mixed (short coat). OMG, we love Gracie :-) She is such a character and makes us laugh all the time. She came into the rescue as a mom. She has gotten along with every dog we've put her with. Currently we have her working with a very shy dog and she's helping him blossom. She is so playful and THOSE EYES! Those INCREDIBLE BABY BLUES :-) She is so much fun and she loves making funny faces and doing funny things. Affectionate and loving. Her spaying, vaccines, deworming, and microchip are included in her adoption fee. She was born October 18, 2021 on one of the reservations we work with. She's house trained and crate trained as well. Please email desertpawsnmgmail first to see if she's still available. Online application, ph/zoom,photos, meetgreet at your home with your pets and family members. We like to stay in touch after adoption. We look forward to meeting you and your fur babies and bringing you your new family member :-)

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
