Posted Breed: Beagle (short coat). Hope Rescues is all volunteer, all visits must be scheduled you may do that by filling out an online application as that is needed for a visit. You can find an application our website. Our adoption fee is $275.00 which includes Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, current heart worm test, DHPP booster, Bordetella vaccine, Microchip, Worming. Hobbs Est DOB 6/12/2021 Male Beagle Meet Hobbs, an adult dog with a heart as big as his personality. He's sweet and friendly, always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a playful bark. Hobbs is funny and smart, his antics will keep you entertained for hours. Hobbs would do best as an only dog and we don't know about cats. He's also incredibly energetic, always up for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. Despite his lively nature, Hobbs is also gentle and cuddly. He loves nothing more than to snuggle up with you after a long day. Adopting Hobbs means welcoming a loyal companion who will bring joy, laughter, and endless love into your life. Hobbs would like to be the only pet in the home and he is not good with kids. So an adult home would be best Please help us make room to save more homeless pets!!! Overview:
The Beagle is a beloved scent hound with a rich history, originally bred in England for hunting hare and rabbit. Their most recognizable physical traits include a sturdy, compact build, adorable floppy ears, and soulful brown or hazel eyes. Beagles typically weigh between 18-30 pounds and stand 13-16 inches tall, featuring a smooth, dense coat that comes in a variety of tri-color or bi-color patterns. In terms of temperament, they are known for being exceptionally friendly, curious, and outgoing, making them wonderful companions for families with children and other pets. However, their strong prey drive and inclination to follow interesting scents mean they require a securely fenced yard and consistent leash training. While adaptable, their need for exercise and tendency to vocalize (howl!) makes them less ideal for small apartment living unless daily walks and mental stimulation are guaranteed. Regarding health, Beagles can be prone to certain conditions like hip dysplasia, epilepsy, and intervertebral disc disease, making responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups important.
