Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. Pelusa Woof Facts: 2 y/o, 68lbs No cats Friendly, smart, eager to please Crate trained & House trained Spayed & UTD on shots New landlord doesn't allow dogs and she needs a new home urgentlyPelusa is stunning Shepherd mix who is as smart as she is beautiful, with a heart of gold waiting to shine in the right home. Pelusa has lots of energy and smarts that need proper outlets. While she seems to want to meet other dogs, she can be quite vocal during interactions due to a lack of proper socialization. She takes time to meet Dogs, but she will eventually relax around them. We are assisting her in reducing external environmental overstimulation. However, she remains calm and interacts appropriately with the resident dog within the foster home environment. The ideal home for Pelusa would offer: An active lifestyle with plenty of exercise Mental enrichment through training and play A patient family committed to helping her overcome anxiety ideally a home with no other dogs but we would be happy to help her foster or adoptive home with teaching her to meet dogs appropriately Could you be the one to help her reach her full potential? If so, apply to adopt!!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
