Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). Meet Myra: The Perfect Blend for Every Season! Spayed female 3 year old Hello, my name is Myra, and I'm the perfect blend of all the seasons! I'm a sweet 3-year-old spayed female Siberian Husky, weighing between 30 to 35 lbs. That makes me the ideal medium size for an apartment, condo, or any cozy home! I'm a seasoned pro when it comes to life at home: I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and walk beautifully on my leash. I'm great with children of all ages, and I love bonding with my human and other dogs. My favorite seasons are Thanksgiving and Christmas (because who doesn't love extra food and love?). I'm all about adventure, big and small! My top four favorite activities are camping, playing in the snow, going to the beach to work on my tan, and joining you for a coffee shop visit. I'm a fantastic passenger for long car or truck trips and love riding to the pet store. When the day is done, I love to snuggle up with my foster to watch a good movie. I'm unsure about small dogs, and I definitely don't get along with cats. That's a little about me, but there's so much more to come when we meet! Schedule a time to meet me so I can show you what you're missing. Adoption Information About Me: Spayed Female House Trained, Crate Trained, & Leash Trained Great with Children Some Basic Training Good with Medium and Large Dogs Microchipped Up to date on all Vaccinations, Flea & Tick Treatment, and heartworm prevention Interested in Meeting Me? Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
