Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $350. Hello Possible Future Family! My name is Rea, and I’m absolutely thrilled to introduce myself to you in hopes of finding my forever home! I’m an energetic 8-month-old girl, weighing in at a playful 18 pounds. Don’t let my size fool you—I’ve got a heart full of love and a spirit that’s ready to play with dogs of all sizes! I have a blast with my 65-pound sibling, and we’re always up for a game of chase or a good romp in the yard. But it’s not all about playtime for me. I absolutely adore cuddle time too! There’s nothing quite like snuggling up after a fun day of running around. I currently live with children, and let me tell you, they’re a blast! I thrive in a loving environment filled with laughter and play. I’m proud to say that I’m housebroken and do well in my crate. I’m learning to walk nicely on a leash, and I’m eager to become the best companion I can be. Just keep in mind that I’m still a puppy at heart, so I might “borrow” your socks or any other fun items I can find. Creativity is my specialty! So, if you’re looking for a playful, loving, and spirited addition to your family, I might just be the perfect fit! I can’t wait to hear from you and learn all about who you are. Together, we could create a wonderful life filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. Looking forward to your application! Warm wags, Rea

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
