Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $400. Online Adoption Application › Meatball is a big ole sweetheart! He loves his humans and will whine to let you know when he wants attention. He is adjusting so well in his foster home! He has never had an accident in the house and will go to the door to let you know he needs to go "outside". He's doing well with his foster doggie siblings and just seems curious about the cats. Meatball is a pretty laid back boy, with only a small burst of energy that gives him a little gallop in the yard. He is most content chewing on a bone and being near his humans. He would make the best boy and companion for a lucky person. He also loves to go on walks and obedience seems to come naturally as he wants to please his human. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
