Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 250. Meet Muncie! This sassy senior is looking for her forever home. She's 12 pounds and around 12 years old, but don't let her age fool you... she is still full of energy and loves to play! She gets along with all other dogs and is potty trained. She is an older lady who is set in her ways and would prefer a quiet home with no young children. Adopting a senior is so very rewarding! Muncie has stage 2 kidney disease - she is doing fine she just needs an adopter who can manage her meds and food and give her an amazing life! Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $250 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
