Dog Breed: Shepherd / Husky (medium coat). I know they say diamonds are a girl’s best friend but actually a two legged creature fits the bill more. I’m a looker just like my namesake! I’m a sweet little girl that is looking for someone that will appreciate my starlit personality. Hey, I’m not a dumb blonde since us Pampa pooches are known to be pretty smart. Intelligence is what counts since I’m not a 36-24-36. So wouldn’t you be my Norman Miller and save me! Here is what the crew has to say about me: Hattie is a sweet poochy girl. She was out having fun on the streets so she got hauled in here. She is around 4 years old and 58 pounds. Hattie get along with other dogs too. She is a fine dog that deserves a fine family. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
