Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 200. Meet Alibi nicknamed Allie! This sweet little 4 year old is just 30 pounds and is ready to melt your heart! ❤️ Rescued from a Memphis high-kill shelter, Allie has been treated for heartworms, spayed, microchipped and is up to date in age appropriate vaccines At just the perfect lap size, Allie is the definition of a cuddle bug. She loves nothing more than snuggling up and being held. When she's not in your lap, she enjoys running around in a fenced yard and is learning to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. ✨ Allie’s stats: Dog-friendly Knows basic commands Potty trained & crate trained Calm and loving, with a big heart She’s the perfect pup to fit right into your home AND your lap! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
