Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (Miniature) (medium coat). Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescueyahoo), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. SEAN's personality is just a typical dog who is social. He plays with the other fosters in the home and enjoys hanging outside running around. He also likes to just walk around the house as if he is monitoring everyone and everything. He does not destroy or get into anything when I am gone. He is crate trained and potty trained and walks very well on a leash. Even though he is not food aggressive or have other aggressions, he is more comfortable eating in his crate. His crate is his comfort zone and he sleeps in there as well even when the door is open and he has other options. SEAN is 3 years old and 20 pounds and somehow does not beg for table food like the other dogs but he does enjoy hotdogs and cheese. He walks very well on a leash and would probably enjoy getting out for a walk every now and thing because he tends to be nosey and wants to see what is happening. He tends to be a routine kind of guy too. I do not have any cats in my home so I am not able to cat test him, sorry. He is in the picture with STEW who sleeps beside him and they play together very well. Of course being a poodle he will need to be groomed every 5-7 weeks to keep him handsome! If you are interested in adopting SEAN please submit an application on the website below. You can also call me to discuss him further. Thank you. .roxysk9rescue ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Overview:
The Miniature Poodle, a charming and intelligent companion, originated in Germany as a water retriever before being refined in France. They are renowned for their elegant appearance, characterized by a distinctive curly coat (often requiring regular grooming to prevent matting), long muzzle, and expressive dark eyes. Standing typically between 10 to 15 inches tall and weighing 10 to 15 pounds, they are a compact yet sturdy breed. Temperamentally, Miniature Poodles are known for their high intelligence, making them highly trainable and eager to please. They are generally lively, affectionate, and can be quite playful, thriving on interaction with their families. Their adaptable nature makes them well-suited for apartment living, provided they receive adequate daily exercise and mental stimulation. They are often excellent with children and other pets when properly socialized. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of breed-specific concerns such as progressive retinal atrophy, luxating patella, and Addison's disease. With their captivating looks and bright minds, the Miniature Poodle makes a delightful and devoted family member.
