Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). ADOPT ME Harper is the bestest girl. She will steal your shoes and clothes and try to eat them. She hoards all the toys downstairs. We go down daily and grab them all and bring them back upstairs. She will also grab my boxes of saran wrap, crockpot liners and baggies and take them downstairs She loves to be with her people. She doesn't like to be shut in a room or downstairs if nobody is with her. She whines and tries to get out. She loves to lay and snuggle on the sofa or bed with you. She loves to play and so far has not been an aggressive player. She will jump up and try to grab your arm with her mouth when playing but nothing aggressive and worrisome. She has never had an accident in the house and will sometimes refuse to go outside in the morning until she's fully awake. Harper can be people selective. We are not sure what part of her past this comes from. But when Harper loves you, she loves hard. She had her last litter of puppies and is ready to find a life of her own.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
