Description
Dog Breed: Jindo (Korean) / Mixed. Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to siangingerspetrescue Hi, I’m Logan! I’m a 6-month-old male Jindo mix, tipping the scales at 12 lbs. of pure love and potential. My journey hasn’t been easy, but I’m here today because kindhearted people believed in giving me a chance. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea, where every day felt uncertain. Thanks to the tireless efforts of rescuers, my life was spared, and now I’m on a path to finding something I’ve never known before, a loving forever home. I’m a playful, curious little boy with so much to give. I love exploring the world around me, snuggling close to my humans, and learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I get along well with other dogs and enjoy the company of kind people who understand that life has been a bit overwhelming for me at times. At just 6 months old, I’m still discovering who I am and the joy that life can bring. With your patience, encouragement, and love, I’ll grow into the loyal and loving companion you’ve been dreaming of. I’m looking for a family who will see me not just for my past but for the incredible future we can share together. I might need a little time to adjust to new surroundings, but with your support, I’ll thrive. To help me settle in and feel confident, our experienced pet rescue trainer is available to guide us both. My adoption fee is $1,195 (tax-deductible and helps save more dogs in need) and includes Neuter, DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations, Deworming and Heartworm testing, Microchip, Boarding fees, health certificate and transport from Korea to Seattle. For my safety, all adopted dogs must have a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag. You can bring your own or purchase one from us. When you adopt me, you’re not just giving me a home—you’re helping save other dogs who are still waiting for their chance at life. Ginger’s Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, uses your support to provide medical care, safety, and hope to animals in desperate need. Email admingingerspetrescue to request an adoption application or learn more about me. Donations to support veterinary care at Greenwood Vet are always appreciated—they make rescues like mine possible. I long for a family to call my own and a place where I can finally belong. Will you be the one to change my life forever?

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
