Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed (medium coat). Maggie and Minnie are a beautifully bonded mom-and-daughter duo who share a heartwarming connection. Momma Maggie is 4 years old and her girl Minnie is 2. They are incredibly affectionate and love nothing more than being around their humans. Their playful and active nature would make them a perfect match for an energetic family—whether with kids, other furry companions, or just adults ready to engage with them. They’re smart and curious, with a touch of mischief when they get bored, so keeping them entertained is key. Both are gentle when taking treats, but they’re still learning some manners. Right now, they pull on the leash during walks, and are working on learning “down” since they can’t resist checking out what’s on the kitchen counters. The daughter is a bit shy and sensitive to loud noises. However, as they’ve settled into their foster home, they’ve begun to show their true, joyful personalities—running around the house like playful goofballs and keeping each other entertained. These two are not only adorable but also incredibly sweet and loving. They deserve a family who will cherish their special bond and help them continue to blossom. They are located in Cary, NC. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
