Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois. Meet Juno, a sweet and sensitive young adult Belgian Malinois who is looking for a patient and understanding forever home. Juno can be a bit nervous around new people and places, but with time and trust, she blossoms into a loyal companion. It took her about four weeks to feel comfortable with her foster family, so her future family should be prepared to give her the time she needs to settle in. Juno used to be terrified of other dogs, but has grown to absolutely LOVE her foster fur sibling! Just be prepared to go very slow with the intros with your own fur babies, as she may be scared at first. She knows basic commands like "sit," "down," and "place," and walks beautifully on a leash. Juno is crate trained but also non-destructive in the house. Juno has been to doggy day care and the groomers and did amazing! She is food-motivated and eager to learn, Juno is looking for a patient family who will provide her structure and be her forever home! If you're looking for a dedicated, loving dog to bond with over time, Juno just might be the perfect match for you! All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and 6 month subscription. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
