Description
Dog Breed: Mastiff / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Hello. My name is Dutch. I am a 1 year old Mastiff/Lab mix male that weighs around 88 Lbs. I was recently surrendered due to my owner's health declining and them no longer being able to care for me. So now, I am hoping to find a new furever family. I am a silly boy who likes to play. I do walk well on a leash and get along with other dogs that can match my energy. I am a very strong and solid boy who is more on the dominant side. Therefore, if you have another dog at home, a meet and greet is best prior to adoption to ensure we get along before taking me home. I do not do well with cats. I am a good and loyal boy who is a giant in puppy need of a little TLC, patience, and consistent training in my life. I have been searching for my furr ever home for 90 days as of 04/29/2025 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters to date and heartworm negative! All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.

Overview:
The Mastador is a cross between a purebred Mastiff and a purebred Labrador Retriever. They are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds. The Mastador is a large dog that can stand from 28 to 36 inches and weigh anywhere between 100 to 200 pounds or more. These dogs are alert, cheerful, loyal and social. They are very strong dogs that have brown, expressive eyes and strong muscular legs. These dogs are suitable for families with older children as they get excited and may knock over small children by accident. These dogs are social and get along well with other dogs and pets. They are loyal and protective of their family and make very good companion dogs. They can fit into apartment life is sufficient exercise and running opportunities are provided although they would ideally need a house with a fenced yard.
