Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio. Additionally for CATS you may email JSheltoneulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclubgmail Milo is about 8 years old. We got him as a puppy when another family didnt want him anymore after finding out he was not in fact a purebred dog. We dont know exactly what breed he is. Milo has lived with other dogs, cats, and children. Although now he seems to be getting intolerant of our small kids, and I feel would be more comfortable in a home with adults only or grown kids. Milo is an inside dog but does love the outdoors. Milo is extremely loving and protective after he warms up to you. He is a bit of a lazy dog and likes to lay around most of the day but enjoys being outside and running and playing. Weve had a lot of life changes recently and we feel that we cant give Milo everything he needs and we just want him to be happy and loved. The adoption fee for Milo is $175 For information on adopting him please contact ciarapraileyymail

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
