Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Holy forever home, Batman! That’s me—your soon-to-be favorite 10-12 month old Shepherd mix sidekick, ready to leap into your life with puppy energy and a heart full of love. I’ve been waiting patiently for my big break, and I think you might be the hero I’ve been searching for! I’m a playful, adventurous pup who loves hanging out with people and making furry friends with other dogs. I haven’t had much experience with cats yet, so the jury’s still out on that one. But sturdy humans? I’m all in! Whether we’re saving the world (aka playing in the yard) or just binge-watching our favorite shows, I’ll be right by your side. So, if you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and slightly goofy companion to join your superhero squad, I’m ready to suit up. Let’s write our origin story together and make some paw-some memories!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
