Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. Meet the Underrated Queen of Cuddles – Brindle Beauty Alert! Okay, so she may not be a Frenchie or a Doodle, but who needs trendy when you’ve got heart-melting eyes, a one-of-a-kind coat, and VIP-level snuggles? This stunning mama, Tessa, is around 3 years old and 38 pounds of gentle, loyal love. She’s a bit shy when you first meet her (we respect a girl who takes her time), but once she knows you’re her person, it’s ride-or-die affection. Belly rubs? Yes. Cuddles? All day. Undivided loyalty? Absolutely. She’s dog-friendly, house-sized (not too big, not too small), and has that “mystery Shepherd breed” magic that makes her stand out from the cookie-cutter crowd. Think of her as your personal emotional support shadow… wrapped in brindle velvet. Fill out an adoption app today at .labradorsandfriends – her forever person is out there… is it you? Tessa is located in Southern California.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
