Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Herman (GA) is a male Pit Bull Terrier mix estimated to be 13 years old at the time of intake in February 2025. Herman is up to date on core vaccinations and is microchipped. He will be neutered prior to joining his forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). This spunky old man was the subject of a cruelty case. When we rescued Herman, he bore the scars of a long life of neglect, abuse and cruelty. He was severely emaciated, he had something going on with his eyes, and he had an angry, painful hole in his leg. Herman has received all the medical care he requires and now he's ready to move into the fantastic, loving, forever home that he should have had his entire life. And he will finally know what it feels like to loved. Herman is an absolute lovebug and never tires of being touched. He gets along with all people and animals and hasn't shown any barking. Very food motivated and smart! Super cuddly and loving, but a bit goofy and uncoordinated in his excitement. Crate trained, knows when he needs to go out and has sit, touch, stay and come done solid.Herman is super, super sweet.
