Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Meet Brownie – A Gentle Soul Ready to Love Again Hi, I'm Brownie, a sweet 3-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing about 53 lbs. Life has been a bit bumpy lately—I was surrendered to the shelter when my family could no longer care for me. But I'm still holding on to hope that my forever family is out there, just waiting to find me. I may be a little shy at first—I've been through a lot—but give me a little time and patience, and you'll see just how much love I have to give. Once I feel safe, I'll gently hop up for hugs, nuzzle into your side, and snuggle up with my favorite blankets (yes, I love blankets—they're my comfort zone!). I enjoy playing with toys, being near my people, and making new canine friends—just ask to do a meet and greet if you have a pup at home! I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines including rabies. I am heartworm positive but eligible for treatment at little to no cost thanks to Rockwall PAWS! I have been in the shelter for 109 days as of 6/20/25 and am considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75! RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
