Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. Meet Nala – Your Loyal Companion in Waiting Nala is a beautiful 1-year-old German Shepherd mix who weighs around 50 lbs. She was recently surrendered to the shelter through no fault of her own, and now she's patiently waiting for a second chance at a forever home. This smart, social girl loves her toys and already knows a few basic commands. She's working on perfecting her leash manners and would thrive in a home that can offer patience, structure, and continued training to help her become the best version of herself. If you already have a dog at home, a meet and greet is recommended to make sure it's a good match. Nala has been at the shelter for 95 days as of 06/06/25 and is considered a Diamond Dog, which means her adoption fee is just $75. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her rabies vaccine and boosters. Nala did test positive for heartworms, but thanks to the support of Rockwall PAWS, she will receive treatment at little to no cost to her adopter.
