Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. Say Hello to Nala – The Queen of Playtime & Cuddles! Nala is a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix with 50 pounds of smarts, sass, and sweetness! She was recently surrendered through no fault of her own and has been patiently waiting 109 days for someone to come scoop her up and give her the forever home she dreams about. Nala is a toy fanatic, a total brainiac, and already knows a few basic commands. She's currently perfecting her leash-walking skills and would love a family that's ready to cheer her on and help her shine with some structure, training, and love. She gets along with other dogs, but we always recommend a meet-and-greet to make sure the vibes are just right. As one of our Diamond Dogs, Nala's adoption fee is just $75! She has been a shelter resident for 109 days as of 06/20/25! She's spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm positive—but don't worry! Thanks to the amazing folks at Rockwall PAWS, her treatment will be covered at little to no cost to her future family. Questions about heartworms or Nala's treatment? Our staff is happy to help! All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
