Dog Breed: Border Collie. I've been sponsored by the Petfinder Kia Grant to help reduce adoption fees. Thanks to the Petfinder Foundation my adoption fee is only $50! At nearly 7 years old, Patches is a striking black-and-white Border Collie who’s as smart as he is sensitive. He’s currently thriving in a foster home with other dogs, enjoying companionship and routine. Patches is housebroken, affectionate, and up to date on all his shots—ready for a home that understands his unique needs. Patches has a strong personality and isn’t shy about expressing himself. When he’s denied something he wants, he may snarl to show his frustration. He’s currently on medication to help manage anxiety, and his foster family is working with him to build trust and reinforce calm behavior. Because of his sensitivity and occasional reactivity, Patches would do best in a home without small children. He needs an adopter who’s experienced, patient, and willing to continue his behavioral support with compassion and consistency.
