Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois / Mixed. Nova Mae is a playful and energetic little fur missle. She loves to play with other dogs and humans. Chasing balls is at the top of the play time agenda. She is still working on bringing them back for the human to throw them again. Nova Mae is friendly and loves making new friends, be it with humans or dogs. She also has a decent off switch and loves to cuddle on the couch. She does well in a crate. Nova Mae also has good food and toy drive showing she is eager and quick to learn new things. While Nova Mae is potty trained and very good about not having accidents in the house, she still needs to learn other household manners, like not using the couches as launch pads during play time. She is good with kids, although slightly older kids would be better so she can't accidently knock over a child during play time. She is not good with cats or chickens. #madlovenovamae

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
