Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Savvy is a sweet, very loving girl. She is shy around strangers but warms up given time. Although she is 2 years old, she has a lot of “puppy energy” and loves to run and play. She can get quite rambunctious, so may not do well with very young children. She would do well with older children or active adults who can give her a fair amount of play time. She walks well on a leash, with only occasional tugs when she spots a squirrel. Currently she goes on a long walk each morning and evening with a shorter one during the day. She naps in her crate during the day and sleeps in it through the night. She enters her crate willingly and sometimes on her own if the door is left open. She is house trained and gets along with other dogs. She knows the command “sit” and will usually come when called. If she had a favorite song, it would be “Close to You” as she can be a bit needy at times and likes to be in the same room as her human. She will often nuzzle to ask for attention. Be aware of keeping bedroom doors closed as she will relocate socks, slippers, shoes, etc. She does not chew on them but seems to think she has a better place for them. Her personality is all about seeing the "positive" and socializing. The forever home that welcomes Savvy will have a happy, energetic pup that is all about affection, fun and love. This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption.
