Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $200.00. Meet GiGi Marie!! This little girl was surrendered to the rescue after her owner could no longer care for her. She is in a foster home with other dogs and cats. She is good with all including kids. She is a complete cuddle bug and very friendly. Gigi is working on potty trianing, but does use the dog door. She is working on using the crate too. Gigi deserves a furever home where she can be spoiled and doted on. She deserves a home that will give her attention and make her a part of their family. She is energetic and needs a home that can help burn her energy. The foster home is in Central Phoenix, but we are open to the right home regardless of location! GiGi is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200 to help cover the vet fees. Please fill out an application to set up a meet & greet, followed by a home check.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
