Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Billie boy! This sweet, little goofball is such a hoot. Billie is a jack-of-all-trades. He'll run zoomies in the backyard, relax on the couch with a chew bone between his paws, or take a nap while you snuggle him. Billie enjoys spending the afternoons rolling in the grass for a bit, followed by sprawling out on the couch and taking a rest. He's simply a great dog! He loves playing with other dog friends, well they're smaller or bigger than him (as long as they're gentle and play appropriately). He sleeps as quiet as a mouse overnight in his crate with some sleepy music in the background. He's a fancy boy! Billie is great around appropriate and respectful kids. Like I said, he's just really a great boy! Billie’s got hops like MJ! This little athlete can jump and climb, so it’s best to keep an eye on him during outdoor time—he’d much rather enjoy it by your side anyway! I can see Billie sitting shotgun on a road trip to the beach, then zooming in the sand and enjoying the sun. Could Billie be your adventure buddy? Submit an application today to meet him.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
