With mid-level energy, Hem enjoys walks, but is equally happy to relax. He’s a well-rounded dog who can be a bit bashful at first and is looking for a patient family to show him all the love and affection. Hemmingway interacts well with other dogs both at home and on a leash. He would also be fine as an only dog. Because he loves to play with new feline friends, he would likely do best with a dog-savvy cat in the home. Hemmingway is a gentle soul and is very patient with children, so he'd do well with or without a kid in the home. He is fully crate-trained and enjoys sleeping in his crate and is often found relaxing in his crate with the door open during the day. Hemmingway has had minimal accidents when taken out on a regular schedule and routine, but is still learning to cue. He is working on his leash skills and will continue to look for guidance as he navigates his new environment. Hemi has so much love to give- is he the one for you?
