The Fila Brasileiro, a majestic and powerful breed, originates from Brazil where it was historically developed for tracking, hunting large game, and guarding livestock and property. Physically, they are unmistakable with their large, muscular build, often featuring a distinctive loose skin and a characteristic "gait of a jaguar" due to their powerful, elastic movement. Their temperament is a defining trait: fiercely loyal and protective of their family, often displaying a cautious and aloof demeanor towards strangers.
