Dog Breed: Chihuahua (short coat). Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescueyahoo), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. WILLOW is a 10 month old, 7 pound tri-color female Chihuahua. She was owner surrendered to our group because her owners did not have time to care for her. Poor little girl was left in a crate 10+ hours each day. They had her since she was a tiny baby. Since she has been in my home she is having a blast running around free and playing with the other dogs. I am sure she is happy to not be locked up all the time. WILLOW is quiet and a cuddler although she really does just like running around and playing. This is a sweet little girl who really deserves a good home so she can enjoy life. Thank you. .roxysk9rescue ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
