Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Beagle / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 300. Daisy is a really lovely dog - sweet, gentle affectionate and funny! She is a 6-year-old, 11-pound Chi/ Beagle mix. Being around other small dogs is comforting for her; so a home with another small dog is best for Daisy. Daisy is good with kids; nice and calm. A great girl to take on a walk, she has nice leash manners. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Daisy is $300. If you are interested in adopting Daisy, please complete our online adoption application at .gratefuldogsrescue/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. See our other available dogs at .gratefuldogsrescue/available-dogs/

Breed overview
Overview:
The Cheagle is an endearing hybrid, resulting from a cross between a Beagle and a Chihuahua, offering a unique blend of both parent breeds. Originating from designer breed initiatives, Cheagles typically inherit the smaller stature of the Chihuahua with the slightly more robust build of the Beagle. Their physical appearance is quite variable, ranging from short to medium coats, often in colors like black, tan, white, or tricolor, and their ears can be erect or floppy. Temperament-wise, they are generally described as affectionate, playful, and often energetic, making them suitable companions for families or individuals. Their adaptable size makes them well-suited for apartment living, provided they receive regular exercise and mental stimulation. While generally healthy, potential health considerations include those common to their parent breeds, such as patellar luxation, dental issues, and intervertebral disc disease, making responsible breeding and veterinary care essential for a long and happy life.
