Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Terrier (short coat). Hi, my name is Trevor Hi Ho Silver and I'm from the lone prairie but I would rather be in your little house on the prairie!!! I don't want to be the Lone Ranger, I want to be your ranger! I am very sweet and I like to talk! Hey, I’m a story teller. I have the cutest round face and beautiful smile. I’m a handsome boy, if I must say so myself! Hey, I don't want to be the last on standing around here. So ride on down here and see little old me. Here is what the crew has to say about me: Trevor is a cool guy that is very sweet. He just likes to interact and have a good time. Trevor just loves to have his ears scratched. What a nice buddy he will make. He came in with his sister, Tracie. Trevor is around 8 months old and 35 pounds of pure marshmallow. Please call Faustina at 806-664-1615 since she can give you details about the animals! If you call the Pampa animal shelter please refer to the animals by their number listed after the names. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
