Description
Dog Breed: Terrier (medium coat). Hi, Iâm Tessa! I am a little over 4 months old. About meâ¦I am a fun loving and adventurous little girl. I love playing with my squeaky toys, chasing the ball or any toy that is thrown plus I enjoy catching bugs. When I am tired and need a break I like taking a nap in my kennel as I really need to restore my energy. I am doing so well with my potty training. I have been working on being on a leash and finally getting the hang of it. In my short time with my foster family I have been able to travel in a vehicle on long trips and I did amazing in my traveling crate. I really enjoy being around my humans at night when I am tired and ready for bed. I like cuddling in my foster momâs lap or better yet on the couch with my foster family! I am a bundle of fun loving energy with all the cuteness included.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
