Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Dazzling DASH is an affectionate, sweet, lovable boy who loves to smoother you with kisses. He’s so handsome, he could be featured in many magazines for his stunningly gorgeous, unique coat and amber gemstone eyes. He loves belly rubs and playing with his stuffed animals. Instead of playing ball, he’d rather play fetch with his stuffed animals and bring them back to you for more fun. He loves his stuffies! Dash was adopted as a puppy and then returned when his owner had no time for him anymore. Dash was very sad, but the volunteers surround him with lots of love and told him his forever family will come shortly. He has lots of besties here at LaMancha. This boy is very intelligent and will learn quickly with someone who will spend the time with him and be consistent because he really wants to please you. Dash is a wonderful dog and such an easy boy to love with a zest for life that makes you want to spend forever with him. Dash is a 1-year-old Shep/Lab mix of greatness. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
