Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Hi there! I’m Sitka, a sweet husky mix on a quest to find my perfect match. At about 40 lbs and around 2 to 3 years old, I’m a gentle soul who truly thrives in low to medium energy environments. I might be a little shy when we first meet, but once you win my trust, I’ll be your loyal companion for life. There's nothing I won’t do for someone I can call my own. I’m crate trained and potty trained, so I'm ready to settle into your home with ease. I have medium energy levels, which means I enjoy a nice walk and some playtime, but I also love relaxing by your side. I’m just waiting for that special someone who can see my true potential and give me the love and patience I need. If you’re looking for a furry friend who will be your steadfast buddy, I’d love for you to come meet me! I’m ready to find my forever home. Could it be with you? Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
