Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Forever home wanted: Meet Tulip! Tulip is a sweet and resilient young dog looking for a loving forever home. When she came to Labradors and Friends from the SEAACA shelter back in April, she was in rough shape—likely the result of a life with little care or comfort. She had demodex mange, a non-contagious and easily treatable skin condition. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and regular medicated baths, Tulip has made a full recovery and now looks like a completely different dog. Tulip has been thriving in her foster home, where we’ve learned so much about her wonderful personality. She’s housebroken, well-behaved in the home, and cat-friendly. She does well with other dogs after a proper introduction—she may bark at first, but once she meets them, she’s ready to play and be friends. Tulip is also working on being calm when meeting new dogs and people, and she continues to improve every day. She may have had a tough start in life, but Tulip has a loving heart and a gentle spirit.
