Dog Breed: Cocker Spaniel (medium coat). Approx. DOB: 3/8/18 Approx Weight: 28 Lbs Adoption Fee: $275 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Clooney has a sweet and lovable demeanor, and his tail never stops wagging! He is quite playful and will set a toy on a surface in front of you and put his face flat on that surface, signaling that it is time for you to pick it up and play. He loves to play fetch, and he will actually bring the ball back to you! He enjoys squeaky toys of all kinds, and he will play for hours, with or without you. Like most cocker spaniels, he also loves water and is happy for any opportunities to swim. Clooney is mostly housebroken, but he wears a belly band in the house. He walks very well on a leash, staying close and not pulling. He sleeps well in a kennel at night and has become eager to enter the kennel to get his nightly treat. He gets along very well with his foster family’s dogs and has done well with his foster family’s cat, including napping right next to the cat. He has been great with every adult he has met, but he particularly loves to follow his foster dad everywhere. Clooney hasn’t been observed much around children, but children 10 and older who have appropriate behavior with dogs should be fine. When Clooney first came to Furry Kids, he had surgery in both eyes to repair issues from previous cherry eye repair surgeries. His eyes have healed wonderfully, and he has been cleared by the veterinary ophthalmologist for adoption. He will need an eye drop (provided by Furry Kids) in each eye twice daily until July 2, and then he can stop the drops. He will also need one follow-up appointment with the veterinary ophthalmologist in October or November, the cost of which was included with his eye surgeries. Fenced yard is preferred. I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped.
