Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 350.00. Hi there, my name is Winnie! I’ve got the eyes of an angel and I tilt my head when you talk sweetly to me. My foster mama likes to say that I’m fierce and independent but I like to think that I’m just a go-getter. I love snuggles and giving kisses, and get along well with other fur-babies too! Remember puppies need lots of time, love and patience! If you’ve got that to give and are ready to meet Winnie, please fill out an application! Application available at .pawsofloverescue/adoption-application . Adoption donation of $350 includes spay/neuter, microchip, 2-3 dewormings, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption. Dallas Ft Worth Area Applications can be found online at .pawsofloverescue, under the adopt tab. We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
