Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Precious is a real social butterfly and is great in a crowd, not missing any opportunity for a pet or a head scratch. Precious is beautiful, with striking eyes, and affectionate with people and is well-mannered. She rides well in a car and knows basic commands. Very skilled at chasing balls and catching them in midair, she also loves to run and play and go on lots of walks. She is housetrained, and crate trained and a perfect age of just under 3 years old. She has plenty of energy and will be able to help you keep up with your fitness goals. She would do best in a home without cats. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
