Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Beagle (short coat). My name is Tex and I’m inviting you down to my two steppin place! Hey, there are cowboys here too! I can turn a toe line dancing and look mighty fine in my cowboy hat. I’m the strong, quite type just the way you would expect from a gentleman from the Lone Star State. Well, Mom was two steppin on the wrong side of the tracks so now I'm doing the jitterbug being here! So take a gander down here and check me out! Here is what the crew has to say about me: Sweet Texas is a sweet pup. He is happy all the time. Tex is around 10 weeks and 9 pounds. He was brought in with his litter mate Tessa.. He will make a wonderful family dog for a loving family. Please call Faustina at 806-664-1615 since she can give you details about the animals! If you call the Pampa animal shelter please refer to the animals by their number listed after the names. Thank you for you cooperation!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
