Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 250. Hi I’m Maggie May! I came to rescue with my pups and I’ve been a great momma. But it’s time to find a wonderful family for me! I love all people- big or small. I aspire to be a lap dog and at just 23(ish) lbs I’m a pretty good size to hang out in your lap all day long!!! I am also a playful girl, I’ll play with dogs of all sizes. But when you’re ready to cuddle just let me know. I will bark when a stranger arrives, but just want to be sure you know. Once you have the situation under control I’m just fine and I can go back to being my friendly self!! I’m houses trained and the sweetest girl around! Submit an application and my foster mom will tell you how great I am!! savingdeathrowdogs.rescuegroups/info/adoption

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
