Dog Breed: Bloodhound / Mixed. This big handsome man is Rusty, a 5 year old hound mix. He has a booming voice that carries through the building, and he sure likes to talk!! He is a very well-behaved boy, and walks amazing on a leash. When he is not in his own territory, Rusty is a sweet boy, and all loving. He does great at the vet, and prefers to have no barriers while in the car so he can be close to you. He was surrendered to the shelter due to some behavioral issues- he can be protective and territorial, and has acted out towards delivery drivers and strangers while in his domain. If you're a homebody who prefers alone time, or lives alone and wants someone to alert you when anyone arrives, Rusty is your guy! Those big blood house ears, and his nose can alert you to anything! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice.
