NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 5/7/2025: Haddie - female - 7 years old - 5.8 pounds - Chihuahua Reason for intake: Haddie came to us from Caddo Parish Animal Services. The owner died. Haddie was very scared and snappy with the shelter staff and somewhat with us in the beginning. She has what appears to be an old leg injury to her rear left leg that healed wrong and the leg has now atrophied twisting behind her. The leg will likely need to be amputated as it is serving her no purpose other than dragging it around. She's heading to our vet on Tuesday May 13, 2025, for spaying and everything else she needs. Stay tuned! NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.
