Description
Dog Breed: Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Boomer arrived at the Brooke County Animal Shelter as a stray -- in fact, he is estimated to be between 8-10 months old. This gorgeous retriever/mix has all the markings of a black coated Golden Retriever and all the makings of an incredible companion and member of a family. Boomer would do best with older, dog-savvy kids. Boomer is good with other dogs and every person he has met. As a young dog, he does want to chase cats to play so a home with no cats would be best. The shelter believes he will make an outstanding pet as he is very affectionate and loves scratches and, of course, treats! The ideal home would be one with a little patience as he adjusts from the stress of being a stray and life in a shelter.
