Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Meet Nadine – Sweet, Smart, and Ready to Love! Say hello to Nadine, a 4 year-old, 67 pound sweetheart who’s equal parts loving, loyal, and clever. This beautiful girl has a big heart and is looking for a forever home where she can be someone’s constant companion. Nadine is happiest when she’s with her people — she loves car rides, going for walks, and just being part of the action. She’s picking up basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “lay down,” and though she has a bit of a stubborn streak, she’s a quick learner when motivated. While she is housebroken, crate training is a work in progress — she’ll go in easily but isn’t a huge fan of staying there long-term. She has a high energy level and would be happiest in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. A 6 foot fenced-in yard would be ideal so she can safely enjoy the outdoors and burn off some of that energy. Nadine thrives on close companionship. She’ll do best in a home where someone is around more often than not, especially while she continues to build trust and security, or a home that has another confident dog. Nadine will need proper introductions when meeting other dogs although she’s not a fan of small dogs. She’s curious about other animals like cats, chickens and rabbits — she enjoys watching them but hasn’t interacted closely with them yet, so supervision is key. Nadine is also curious about children when we walk by them, but we haven’t had the chance to see how she interacts up close. She definitely loves people and enjoys their company — she just wants to be part of the family.
