Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Dachshund (short coat). Available Tiny Male Chihuahua Approximate DOB 5/1/2024 – About 8 lbs Robin was part of a large hoarding case. He was among about 30 Chihuahuas- some inside and some outside. He was an outdoor only dog so is still learning the ropes of being a house dog. He is pretty skittish so will need a very loving, understanding family to love. However, he has finally started to learn how to trust and now asks for belly rubs all the time!!! It just takes a little time for him to learn that nobody is going to hurt him. He is still working on house training. He seems to have gotten the hang of using the dog door and there have been no accidents in about a week thank goodness.. He has just been with his 3 brothers since he got here and he seems ok with other dogs just a little worried as he was the one everyone was beating up on before coming to rescue. Just keep in mind marking is worse if there are more than 2 adult males in the home so if you have a male already I wouldn't recommend another male. It seems like these guys fought for everything since they were all living out in a pen with little contact. He is skittish at first but like I said he does come around and then just loves you to pieces. He will make someone a perfect little friend. His ideal person or people will help him overcome his past through giving him new experiences, lots of love, attention, and treats. We are sure once he understands how wonderful change is he will continue blossoming by leaps and bounds. Neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations - Fee $150 We do welcome out-of-state adoptions.
