Dog Breed: Golden Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Fancy is a 2-year-old female Golden Retriever mix who weighs 42 pounds and has a sweet temperament. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and has excellent house manners. Fancy is easy-going and can adapt to being the only pet or having dog siblings. However, she may not be suitable for homes with cats due to her strong focus on them. Fancy is highly intelligent, knowing commands like Sit, Shake, and Lay Down, and is eager to learn more tricks. She is also a great car rider and is motivated by treats. She is heart worm positive but friends will pay for treatment for local adopters. Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. Friends of Jackson County is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
