He’s the kind of pup who’s always by your side—whether you're folding laundry, doing yard-work, or relaxing on the couch— he's interested in whatever you're interested in and wants to be a part of it. Loyal, loving, and endlessly sweet, Ollie is ready to be someone’s whole world. He’s incredibly food motivated which has made training a breeze. He’s already mastered the doggy door in his foster home and is doing great with potty training! Ollie learns quickly and wants to make his people proud. Ollie’s past hasn’t been easy. He spent the first year of his life neglected and locked in a closet, which has understandably left him with some trauma around confinement. Being in the kennel is scary for him, but his foster family is helping him build positive associations with crate time, and his future family should be ready to continue this gentle, supportive work, should he need to ever be kenneled in his forever home. Despite his past, Ollie has the most joyful and loving spirit. He is silly, sweet, and just so happy to be able to be a dog for the first time in his life instead of trapped. He’s incredibly dog-friendly and wants to play if another dog is up for it. He is very respectful with other dogs and takes social cues like a pro. His foster brother, a grumpy older gentleman, isn’t always up for play—and Ollie totally gets that. When told “no”, he just turns around and brings the play invitations back to his humans instead. Ollie is friendly with everyone he meets—people and pups alike—and would thrive with an adopter who wants a dog they can bring along to dog-friendly patios, neighborhood walks, or any human-pup adventures. He just wants to enjoy life with his forever-person/people, wherever that may be. If you’re looking for a best friend who will snuggle hard, love harder, and stick by your side through thick and thin—Ollie is your guy. Oliver (Ollie) is from a local impound.
