Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Storm is a high energy young GSD. He would benefit a home with someone who is dedicated to giving him the time and training his breed needs to thrive. He has basic obedience but needs more stimulation and we know there's an active adopter out there waiting to give this young boy his best life ever. Due to his size and energy level we prefer a home without small children. Storm will not be adopted to homes in an HOA or a rental and a fenced yard is required for his energy level. His play style is a little over the top so a playful companion who has the tolerance for his young dog energy is recommended. Breed experience is a huge plus. An application to adopt is required and can be found on our website under the our dogs section or adopt section at kibblezoflove. The adoption fee is $350 The age requirement to adopt is 25+ years old. All dogs are spayed or neutered, chipped and UTD on hw and flea preventative and all age appropriate vaccines.

Overview:
The German Shepherd Dog, a truly iconic breed, originated in Germany in the late 19th century, primarily for herding sheep. They are easily recognizable by their athletic, medium-to-large build, typically weighing between 50-90 pounds, with a distinct double coat that can be black and tan, sable, or solid black. Known for their intelligence and loyalty, German Shepherds possess a remarkably trainable and courageous temperament, making them exceptional working dogs in fields like police and service work. While generally good with families when properly socialized, their high energy levels and need for mental stimulation make them unsuitable for apartment living without significant daily exercise. Prospective owners should be aware of common health concerns such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as degenerative myelopathy, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary care.
