Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. Hi my name is Cuca. I am one of four siblings looking for a good home. Our parents are on the smaller side of 40 pounds. We are 3 months old. There is no guarantee how big we will be.We will grow into our feet. Our parents were rescued in Puerto Rico. They were transported here to America, with proof of their good health. Before Mom could be fixed, they had fun and then we arrived. The vet said maybe some Shep in our parents, but not nearly the size. We are so thankful to be raised in the states. Our human parents were so kind to rescue our fur parents and bring them with them? I am a healthy happy pup, of normal energy. Not high energy. I am at that age to train into your best friend. Please take a look at Candy, Cookie and Coco too. We would love to meet you.xoxoxo If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here: adoption application For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website .rosesrescue to fill out the online adoption application. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
