Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Hound / Mixed (short coat). WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT OF STATE Agatha is a busy little girl with lots to do and talk about. She wants to be with her people and her people should be dog savy as she is still learning what we do and do not put our mouths on. She is fun energy and will require a house that will keep her busy and wear her out, a fenced yard would be perfect. Preadoption applications can be filled out online at .luvnpupz/applications It takes up to 14 business days to process an application to adopt from the rescue not a specific dog as we strive to place the right dog in the right home based on each individuals needs and personalities. We are a home based foster rescue. We have meet and greet events for some available animals on the weekends. Please watch our facebook page ( facebook/luvnpupz ) for locations and which pups will be there. Adoption fees are $300 - It includes age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchip, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and spay/neuter at our vet when old enough.

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
